My sister and I are getting ready for our next Sisters on the Fly event next weekend in Cassville, MO, and decided to NOT sleep in her Nissan Pathfinder but get a tent instead. That being said, we are of “an age” that sleeping on an air mattress is just not gonna cut it. We discussed it and decided to invest in decent cots. I looked through several online at Amazon and, after reading the reviews, ordered the Coleman ComfortSmart Deluxe Camping Cot (affiliate link). It’s priced at $59.99.
It came yesterday in this HUGE box …. and this cot is BIG. The dimensions are 80x30x15 and can accommodate someone up to 6’6″ and 300 lbs. It’s not lightweight … I think it weighs about 22 lbs… so it wouldn’t be something you’d want to drag around on a backcountry trip.
Here are a couple of pix, including curious kitties:
As you can see from the photo on the right, this is as small as the cot folds. I really like how durable it looks and feels, and there is a decent sized foam pad that is included.
I will make sure to give a full review after the trip.
