Women’s History Month – March 2018

Back in 2014, I took a trip to the Sacramento, CA area to meet a first cousin of my father’s, who I had been corresponding with for months.  It was a genealogy thing.  Anyway, she had invited me out for a vacation to see Yosemite National Park and Sacramento itself, which was a pretty cool trip.  While coming back from Yosemite, we stopped at the California State Mining and Mineral Museum, not too far from the NP, as there was a Native American Pow Wow going on at the grounds.  I’m unable to remember what tribe was there (I will add it if I find it in further photos), but the women were so regal, so happy to dance, and so proud of their heritage.  Here, then, for my first Women’s History Month photographic “essay,” are a few of my photos from that event:
