February 3rd, 2018 found me at the America’s Center – Convention center in downtown STL for the St. Louis RV Vacation and Travel Show. It had been quite a few years since I’d been to a large show like this, but WOW what amazing RV’s! Everything from super-dinky claustrophobia-inducing tow-behinds to ultra-HUGE tour bus sized rigs.
My favorite was the Retro tow-behind, which could sleep 4. Plus I’m a sucker for RED:
And it had a normal-ish bathroom, not just a toilet stuck in a shower.
That Retro camper would be perfect for me, plus there is enough room for other guests and my two “adventure kitties” Georgie and Maggie, although they don’t KNOW that they will be adventure kitties YET. I’ll also need an adventure dog, preferably a Doberman. My fav dog breed.
I had a great time wandering around, picking up all kinds of travel brochures (that will probably go to the recycle bin), dreaming of a red Retro camper, hitting the road and seeing the beauty of America.
And dreaming of my own personal “redneck hot tub” —- this inflatable variety:
Ah yes, retirement WILL be great.
OH! And another dream of mine? To be a member of Sisters on the Fly. #sistersonthefly That WILL happen, especially if I get that lovely red Retro RV.
To stave off the winter blues, and to look at some RV eye-candy, look for and attend an RV show, boat show, travel show, etc. in your own area. Ya know you want to!
I love roaming the RV shows, we usually go every year but we were RVers up until last year so might not this year.

it’s just so fun to dream when it’s wintery outside!

It is, even though going up and down all those stairs causes havoc with my knees and hips. 🙂 That little red retro one was sure cute.

oh yeah my right knee was killing me — I hurt it running last year and, it being a degenerative issue, there’s not much rehabbing I can do.

Sorry to hear that.
