How do you like to spend a rainy day?
To me, there’s nothing better than a rainy day and a good book. Or bingeing a great show.
List at least five favorite treats. (They do not have to be sugary).
- Extra dirty vodka martini.
- Alaskan king crab legs
- Key Lime Pie
- my mom’s fried chicken
- medium-rare steak
Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?
Hmmmm, well, if they were beer lovers, then the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour and the many craft breweries here in STL. Wine lovers …. there are so many excellent wineries in Augusta and Defiance, Missouri, it’s hard to choose. Baseball lovers — Busch stadium, of course, along with Ballpark Village for great eats. I like my neighborhood Greek restaurant, Momo’s, for their gyros, sangria, and belly-dancers. The Hill, STL’s Italian neighborhood, is renowned for their food. Also, you can’t NOT stop at the Gateway Arch — it’s awe-inspiring, a feat of engineering, and a National Park.
You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?
I’d want to be trapped with someone who had Valium.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
This last week, and this week coming up, are, and will be, extremely stress-inducing, as I’m contemplating a major life change. My parents, sister, youngest daughter, and niece have all given their blessing, should this opportunity pan out. My family is my rock, the people I go to for love, when I’m sad or depressed, and when I want to have a martini and a dance party in Mom’s kitchen!! Their love has buoyed me my entire life, and I can’t imagine a minute without them in my life. (photo of my Mom and Dad)
