Black and White Sunday – Traces of the Past

As a volunteer photographer for the website http://www.findagrave.com, I’ve seen some pretty old gravestones.  This one amazed me.

Andrew Black, born August 1794, died October 28, 1865.  Just think about it … he was born just after the American Revolution and died after the Civil War.  Now, that’s not super old as far as Europe is concerned, but it is for the U.S.  Photo taken by me, in 2010, Gilead Cemetery, Troy, Illinois.
